Fifty Bees CIC

Fifty Bees CIC.

Yes, we’ve finally done it.

Thinking and planning has been going on quietly over here in Somerset and we are now registered as a Community Interest Company.

Our intention is to develop the environmental engagement and educational reach of the Fifty Bees project, to reach more people, and to create positive, empowering conversations.

We are still at the very early stages, we need training and to fundraise but eventually a permanent collection of fifty British species of bees will be created. Our intention is to lend these out to public engagement organizations such as museums, as well as artists’ collectives or individual artists, and educational establishments.

This will allow the ‘borrowers’ to create new collaborative, multi-disciplinary art exhibitions, showcasing the ecology of British bees and other native wildlife.

The ‘artists’ in this context could be children, students, professional artists or other members of the public depending on the specific focus of the individual public engagement organizations and their community.

There will be information packs for artists and curators, as well as engagement and education worksheet packs, all loaned out as part of the FIFTY BEES resource package.

Thanks to each and every one of you for following, supporting and engaging with Fifty Bees CIC - ever onwards!

Please help spread the word - you are our community and we need you, we’re all in this together.
